A Memphis woman is behind bars after a video shows her letting children out of pet kennels.
The video shows a woman, who police identified as Cheeks, standing at the back of her SUV as one of her grandchildren climbs out of a kennel in the trunk.
According to police, the children were spotted Saturday afternoon in the 3700 block of Elvis Presley Blvd. near Graceland.
She was reportedly charged with two counts of child endangerment.
The children told police there wasn't much air in the kennels and they were very hot.
"Leimome Cheeks was interviewed and admitted to riding from Whitehaven to Collierville with the children in the kennel", a police affidavit says. "Wow", neighbor Skylark Blake said.

Air Force Officer Missing For 35 Years Found Living In California
He could face up to five years of confinement, forfeiture of all pay and dishonorable discharge from the Air Force. Hughes went to 19 Albuquerque bank branches and withdrew a total of $28,500 from his account.
Now, neighbors are asking why and are trying to piece together the though behind her actions.
A concerned citizen shot the video and forwarded it to the police. I couldn't see her actually doing that. "For them to be in the hot vehicle like that in cages is sad", neighbor Nikita Blake told WREG.
The youngster, wearing red trainers, green leggings and a purple t-shirt climbs out of the cage feet first, with her grandmother holding the kennel door open as she makes her exit. Two neighbors told WMC Cheeks was a "super good neighbor".
"I don't think she knew because she loves her grandkids", Cowan told Fox 13. Something is going on with her.
We tried reaching family for comment, but have not heard back. She is set to appear in court on Monday, the station reported. Some report that the woman is the grandmother, while many reports exclude the information.
