Chelsea part ways with manager Antonio Conte

The Daily Express is reporting that the duo's futures played a key role in convincing the Blues to part company with the Italian manager after two years in charge at Stamford Bridge.

Sky Sports reports that Sarri has finalized terms with the West London club, with Chelsea legend, Giafranco Zola set to join the coaching staff as his assistant.

Chelsea will try to convince Hazard that the appointment of Sarri, together with a number of new signings including Jorginho, Daniele Rugani and Aleksandr Golovin can help the club challenge for the top titles again. It was on the cards long before last season's FA Cup triumph, which came less than 12 months after he won the Premier League.

Chelsea finally confirmed Conte's departure on Friday, with Cesc Fabregas paying tribute to the Italian coach on Twitter.

Conte leaves with the best win percentage 65.1 per cent of any of Chelsea's managers in the Premier League era.

The 48-year-old Italian, who had a year left on his contract, took pre-season training earlier this week.
