BlackBerry has partnered with its manufacturing partner in India, Optiemus, to produce a new range of "Evolve" phones, The Verge reported.

The BlackBerry Evolve is set to cost ₹24,990 in India - that's around $365 directly converted. Incidentally, the Evolve is backed by BlackBerry's uncompromising security standards. Thanks to companies like Xiaomi, you can get a great Android phone for the equivalent of $150-200.

We've known for some time now that BlackBerry brand licensee Optiemus Infracom was planning to launch two BlackBerry devices. I don't know about you but I would welcome some more BlackBerry phones stateside.

For the front, you get Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, which means that it can resist scratches when you put in your jeans.

The phones have a similar textured back that we have seen previously on the KEY2 and there is a new camera UI present. Now, the company has revealed the BlackBerry Evolve and Evolve X for the Indian market.

Twelve-year-old Jingjing Ma was last seen Thursday leaving Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., with an unknown woman. People familiar with the investigation within the FBI's Washington field office later called the matter a "misunderstanding".

On the display front, both the devices feature a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display that bears a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. It sports a more modest Snapdragon 450 chipset, but one that's built on the 14-nanometer process, says GSMArena, so it should be more battery efficient. The less-expensive Evolve is powered by a Snapdragon 450 processor with 4GB RAM, while the Evolve X has a Snapdragon 660 with 6GB RAM. Right now, it is too early to comment on the performance, looking at the sheer specifications, both the phones look overpriced. Evolve, priced at Rs 24,990, also has a face unlock feature.

But take a look at the rest of the spec sheet and it's clear the Evolve X is the high-end model here.

Coming to the software, a thing that is touted to be the major highlight of both of them. The Evolve will come around in late August while the Evolve X will appear on the market next month.

The BlackBerry Evolve featured with vertically placed dual camera sensors and dual-tone LED flash on the back side.

Another difference stands in the dual cameras - the EVolve X has a telephoto lens for its secondary camera and the primary is a 12MP f/1.8 one.
