‘Captain Marvel’ First Look: See Brie Larson in Costume as Marvel Superhero

It's news which fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been waiting to hear as details on the forthcoming Captain Marvel have been few and far between.

EW has some exclusive stills from the film, but don't sleep on their captions; it's here that Marvel fans can learn the most about what's going to happen in the MCU's first female-fronted film.

EW, being the cheeky scamps they are, have something "Marvel-ous" in mind.

Brie added, "She's also quick to jump to things, which makes her incredible in battle because she's the first one out there and doesn't always wait for orders".

Captain Marvel premieres March 8, 2019. Larsen told EW that Carol "can't help but be herself".

We already know that Captain Marvel is set in the 90s and this makes it the second period film in MCU after Captain America: The First Avenger. And she can be headstrong and reckless and doesn't always make the flawless decisions for herself. The cast also includes Lashana Lynch and Gemma Chan, who make their first appearances in the new images as well, along with Jude Law, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, and McKenna Grace. The oldest alien race in Marvel's stable have been strangely absent from all of their live action endeavors over the years, but that will finally change with the Captain Marvel movie.
