Samsung hints Galaxy A phone with four cameras is coming next month

The event invite says, "Samsung's newest Galaxy device is bringing more ways to express yourself than ever before".

The Galaxy S10 could become the first smartphone from Samsung to use a triple rear camera setup.

Samsung has scheduled an event in Malaysia on October 11, where the company is expected to launch a new smartphone under its Galaxy lineup. An invite has been published on the official Samsung news portal for an upcoming Galaxy Event. There's been other rumours and speculation to support this, such as notable Samsung leaker @UniverseIce tweeting "Samsung Camera Camera Camera Camera" earlier this month. As of now, the update only adds AR Emoji and Super Slo-Mo but there might be changes under the hood which we don't know yet.

The "4x" matches the number of cameras. So Samsung's next phone - presumably called the Galaxy S10 - may well have four camera lenses on the back of it. But it seems pretty likely it'll be camera-related.

Just ahead of the Apple iPhone event on Wednesday Samsung PR punted a story to HEXUS, hoping for coverage which in effect would be a recap of August as an "incredible month of new product launches from Samsung".
