Lilo & Stitch is the latest in a string of animation to live-action remakes from Walt Disney Studios. The Mouse House has had a great deal of success revisiting their animated classics and updating them for modern audiences in live-action form. Like a lot of these things (and let's face it, nearly every major movie out there), the film will be a live-action/CG hybrid. Stitch, who is engineered to cause chaos, has a change of heart as Lilo teaches Stitch the importance of ohana, the Hawaiian concept of family. It is set to debut on the upcoming Disney streaming service. He also wrote Not in Kansas, which is a horror movie take on The Wizard of Oz now in development at New Line. The 2002 animated comedy centered on a young Hawaiian girl named Lilo who befriends a tiny blue alien named Stitch. Along with "Aladdin", upcoming remakes include "Dumbo" and "The Lion King".
