The Mega Millions jackpot beat its own record once again after no ticket matched all the six numbers in the drawing Tuesday night. The numbers were 3, 45, 49, 61, 69 and Mega Ball 9.

Two big jackpots at the same time, says Smithfield News owner Kashif Malik, adds up to more ticket buyers.

Tickets that won $50,000 were sold at Bob's Beer & Wine in Bellingham; Convenience Plus in Lee; and Market Basket in Tewksbury. That honor goes to a 2016 Powerball jackpot, which clocked in at $1.586 billion (although it was shared by three winners).

The estimated jackpot for Friday's drawing would be the second-largest lottery prize in U.S. history. The jackpot has been rolling every drawing since July 27, when it started at $40 million.

The Mega Millions jackpot just hit a record $US970 million ($1.4 billion), the second-largest U.S. lottery pool ever, trailing only the $US1.59 billion Powerball prize in 2016.

Floyd Mayweather Is Down For Khabib Nurmagomedov Fight
Of course, we know that Vegas is the fighting capital and after the fight, you have to conduct yourself like a true professional. But UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier, who is a teammate of Nurmagomedov, declared the match-up a joke.

Mega Millions tickets cost $2 per play and there are a total of nine ways to win a prize, ranging from the jackpot down to $2.

Good people of America, the lottery jackpots need to be stopped.

The game - played in 44 states, plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands - becomes a "cultural phenomenon" somewhere in the $200 million to $400 million range, said Medenica, who holds the informal and rotating director position for an 11-state Mega Millions consortium. It may be the second-largest jackpot in USA history. "The way you want to think about it is that there are set amount of numbers in the game, and it's you against probability, not against the other players".

The jackpot goes to a victor who matches the five numbers and the Powerball number.

It's going to big couple of days for avid lottery players.
