California Wildfires Kill 5 People Trapped In Vehicles

In Southern California, authorities quickly issued evacuation orders on Thursday as fires erupted near Ventura County.

More than 400 firefighters from Ventura County, Los Angeles County, the City of Los Angeles and Cal Fire were battling the brush fire.

Captain Scott McLean, from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, said the Camp Fire had grown to almost 110 square miles after devouring the town of Paradise.

Another blaze just west of that area, dubbed the Hill Fire, topped 10,000 acres on Thursday.
