Fox, sister cable channel National Geographic and the producers of his docuseries Cosmos are all looking into claims that Tyson acted inappropriately. According to a report from Deadline, the allegations are something they are investigating promptly.
Tyson went into detail surrounding the individual allegations. He wrote that he hadn't recognized Allers' and Watson's discomfort at the time of the incidents they described.
He admits to having a brief relationship with the musician but denies assaulting her. "And that's when an impartial investigation can best serve the truth - and would have my full cooperation to do so", he wrote.
In a statement, the producers of "Cosmos" said, "The credo at the heart of "Cosmos" is to follow the evidence wherever it leads".
"We have only just become aware of the recent allegations regarding Neil deGrasse Tyson".

"And I assured her that had I known she was uncomfortable, I would have apologized on the spot, ended the evening, and possibly reminded her of the other social gathering that she could attend". "I just didn't want to make a fuss", Watson says. "The producers of Cosmos can do no less in this situation", the show's producers said in a statement. She says Tyson spoke of the stresses of his job, and how he needed a "release". "Had I been told of her discomfort in the moment, I would have offered this same apology eagerly, and on the spot".
She filed a police report years later, the website reported, and has written multiple posts about the incident since 2014.
The man added that he welcomes an independent investigation. Unfortunately, the night only got more awkward as Tyson, who is married, reportedly put on romantic music and replayed the most graphic parts.
Tyson did not return requests for comment by The News.
"More than thirty years later, as my visibility-level took another jump, I read a freshly posted blog accusing me of drugging and raping a woman I did not recognize by either photo or name", Tyson wrote Saturday.
