There is interest in Carrasco from AC Milan but his £170,000-a-week wages could make a move away from China hard.

The former Atletico Madrid star is supposedly disgruntled in China, despite only moving to the Far East last January and pocketing some of the biggest wages in world football.

Carrasco now plies his trade in the Chinese Super League for Dalian Yifang, where he has notched seven times in 25 league appearances this term.

Arsenal have been a mixed bag this season under Unai Emery and although they deserve massive credit for keeping in touch with the top four, the Spaniard still needs to address a lot of problems in the ongoing January transfer window.

However, Sky Italia, via the Metro, claim that Carrasco favours a move to Arsenal while The Sun also carry a similar report that suggests the Gunners have already made contact over a deal and the winger has given his "approval" to the proposed move.

Aside from that, the Belgian global has raw pace, which makes him a threat on the counter while his ability to play quick passes in the final third certainly tunes in well with Arsenal's high-tempo game in attack. Furthermore, it has been reported that Carrasco is looking at the possibility of taking a pay cut on his current wages of €10million-a-year (£173,000-a-week) to move back to Europe.
