Amazon-exclusive Samsung Galaxy 'M' series in India on Jan 28

The three new M-series phones, which Samsung plans to sell only through its website and Amazon.com's Indian operation, will help the company to double online sales, the head of Samsung's Indian mobile business told Reuters.

The Galaxy M-series will focus on millennials, offering specifications and features to match the competition, and sell them at aggressive pricing.

Asim Warsi did not reveal the names of the Galaxy M phones that will be launched in India later this month.

Samsung has quite the portfolio of smartphone lines in different price ranges.

What's more the official page has a firm launch date for the new Galaxy M phone - January 28. This is indeed interesting, as Samsung is all set to target the young users in India, who are fans of Xiaomi, Realme and other Chinese brands.

The design of this new series of smartphones from Samsung has been done in India, and is right now under production at their Noida plant, which is their largest smartphone facility in the whole world.

Last year, Korean publication ET News reported that Samsung is killing off its low-end J series of phones. The word on the street is that Samsung might launch the Galaxy M30 as well on January 28. Hence, Samsung Galaxy M20 can become the first Samsung smartphone with 5,000mAh battery.

As per initial reports, which have not been confirmed, there will three smartphones under the new M-series: Samsung Galaxy M10; Samsung Galaxy M20 and Samsung Galaxy M30.

Samsung has launched a microsite for an upcoming Galaxy M device - likely the Galaxy M20, judging by the dual-camera setup on its back - and, sure enough, it has an Infinity-V display with a single selfie lens occupying the small notch up top. Stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more updates!
