Piers Morgan has blasted Meghan Markle for opening sex workers up to ridicule after "empowering them with bananas".

Samantha - who recently revealed that she would be publishing not one, but two revealing books about her sister, who she hasn't spoken to in years - recently spoke to the Daily Star, promising that she has a "very big mouth" and she isn't afraid to reveal the "truth" about the Duchess of Sussex.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are preparing for the arrival of their royal baby in the spring, and it seems Meghan is planning to enlist the help of a doula as well as a midwife when she gives birth.

The former journalist also said he "could not believe what he was watching" as he saw footage of Meghan writing positive messages of encouragement on bananas included in food parcels.

"It's one of the most patronising things I've ever seen anyone do", the Good Morning Britain host said, while on air.

While meeting volunteers and preparing the food packages, Meghan suggested writing positive messages on the bananas, such as 'You are fearless, ' 'You are strong, ' and 'You are loved'.

She said shaken residents were brought to her building and the one next door while firefighters continued to fight the flames. Some of those affected scrambled on to nearby roofs to escape the smoke and flames, and needed to be rescued by fire crews.

"Giving prostitutes an "empowering" banana after they've spent the night subjecting their bodies to often vile, sexually depraved men, is quite another [thing]", he added.

Dismissing the gesture as the "least useful" action the royals could take, Piers also joked the most recipients could hope for after feeling a moment of empowerment would be to scoff them and flog the skins on eBay.

Harry, 34, and Meghan, 37, are now expecting their first child together in late April. "It's offensive, you know".

A source told the USA publication that the former actress wants to focus on being "calm" and having "positive energy" when welcoming her first child.

"Then bang, she met somebody more important, immediately ghosted", Morgan said in 2018.

During Meghan's visit to the charity with Prince Harry last week, she asked her aids for a pen so she could write on the fruit.
