US retailers prepare to ring in the Year of the Pig

Nickelodeon and several free-to-air broadcasters have picked up eOne's new Peppa Pig Chinese New Year specials that will debut in the United Kingdom on February 5.

In Chinese culture the pig is a symbol of wealth and it is said that men born in the year of the pig are likely to be optimistic and gentle and women are likely to be easy-going and prosperous.

Retailers across the United States are raising their game to celebrate the Year of the Pig.

"Chinese are the third-largest foreign-born group in the USA; as of 2017, there are 6 million of us and Dealmoon gets 17.6 million clicks a month from these consumers", said Cofounder of Dealmoon, Jennifer Wang.
