Knicks explain using Kevin Durant’s photo in season ticket promotion

As the image spread online, it was probably easy for some observers to suspect the Knicks were sending a less-than-subtle signal about why it might be well worth it to renew season tickets.

Calling it nothing more than a marketing tool, the New York Knicks have nonetheless deleted a game action photo of Golden State Warriors star forward Kevin Durant and Knicks rookie center Mitchell Robinson from their website after it was used in a ticket sales promotion. "To be clear, it was one of several rotating photos on the website".

Rumors around the league suggests the Knicks front office are not only gunning for Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant, but are nearly sure that they will sign him in free agency.

Durant recently ripped the media for its coverage of his impeding free agency.

It wasn't lost on beat reporters for the Warriors that, in the immediate wake of the trade, Durant stopped speaking with the media.

"I have nothing to do with the Knicks", Durant said at a press conference last weekend. "It was good to get that off my chest and let everyone know in the building if you're covering the team what I'm about".

Yet, Durant is aghast why anyone who follows basketball is more interested in what he'll do this summer, rather than what he did during a largely meaningless regular-season game. I don't know who traded Porzingis.

Durant is in his 12th season in the National Basketball Association and one of the two best players in the world.
