Leslie said Zoia understands the public outrage.

A viral video shot from the apartment balcony shows Zoia throwing one of the chairs, which plummets to the street below.

"She wishes it never happened", Greg Leslie told reporters after his client was granted bail. "We want to give her the opportunity to speak to her lawyer and then come in on her own volition", Hopkinson said, according to CBC News.

Marcella Zoia, 19, of Toronto is facing common nuisance and mischief charges. While the video ends before the chair hits the ground, police said the chair was found damaged "almost beyond recognition" at the entrance of a nearby building.

"Her or her representative arranged for her to surrender", said Toronto Police spokesperson David Hopkinson in an email to Daily Hive. She must also not have any contact with the four individuals that were with her at the time.

"We will just take this through the proper course, through the right channels and we'll go from there".
