The diagrams for the Google controller (which Thurrott noticed yesterday) aren't particularly special or surprising: they show the kind of wireless, two-handed, dual-thumbstick design with the standard array of face buttons, D-pad, and triggers we've become accustomed to over the last few console generations.

Industry insiders are at fever pitch as the company throws hundreds of millions at a potential new gaming arm that will aim to break up the status quo in console gaming. In addition to those functions, there is a Home button, a menu button, a Google button and a microphone button on the controller. The company is believed to be preparing some sort of gaming-related service or hardware, which could consist of a browser-based game-streaming service or even a console. The renders appear to be the ones from Yanko Design, and may or may not be indicative of the final product.

A controller for Google's new gaming platform has leaked ahead of its big GDC 2019 reveal, showing off a rather non-ergonomic peripheral that will cramp your hands. When Google trialed its service through the end of 2018 and closed it in January, it had players run the service via Chrome on Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS systems to play Assassin's Creed: Odyssey.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: Arsenal defeat 'lowest' point as Manchester United manager
The spectator seemingly avoided pitch-side stewards before shoving Manchester United player Chris Smalling. Albeit thanks in no small part to some bad finishing by United, the home side's approach worked.

A device and method are disclosed for a game controller that provides notifications for a game invitation, a chat message, an indication that a user's high score has been beaten, or the like. The game may be launched on the host device in response to an activation signal that is dispatched from the game controller. The game controller, in an implementation, may be utilized to activate one or more host devices (e.g., a television monitor, a tablet, a smartphone, etc.) if the user presses an action button on the controller or accepts the notification. We may soon find out.

"We haven't heard many specifics about Google's video game plans, but what we have heard is that it's a three-pronged approach: 1) Some sort of streaming platform, 2) some sort of hardware, and 3) an attempt to bring game developers under the Google umbrella, whether through aggressive recruiting or even major acquisitions".
