The Supreme Court on Friday set aside the BCCI disciplinary committee's order imposing a life ban on former Indian cricketer S Sreesanth for his alleged involvement in the 2013 IPL spot-fixing scandal.
The Supreme Court has also ordered the BCCI to reconsider their decision of life ban on Sreesanth in a period of three months.
October 17, 2017: The Kerala High Court restores the life ban on cricketer S Sreesanth in response to an appeal filed by the BCCI CEO Rahul Johri against the single-judge verdict which had revoked the ban earlier. In its judgment, the court points out that the BCCI has refused to lift the ban despite a Delhi sessions court verdict discharging Sreesanth from a crime registered in connection with the spot-fixing in 2015. Its six years and I haven't played cricket, which was my life. And now when today it has been such a huge day of celebration for Sreesanth, Deepak shared a picture with him and captioned it as, "Ye Banda wapas aayega dil bol rha tha, Aur lo aa gye sreesanthnair36Om Namah shivaaye Aaj sree bhaiya k Haq me Faisla aaya h supreme court ka". I have been keeping myself fit and practising regularly. However, the court rejected Sreesanth's plea that he should not be punished at all because he was acquitted in the spot-fixing case. "I don't believe Ombudsman should be required if we can handle the issue in a BCCI SGM". The issue of Sreesanth's ban might be discussed on the sidelines of the meeting as well.
The BCCI action followed the arrest of Sreesanth and the others by Delhi Police for alleged promises made to bookmakers during the 2013 IPL.

Google could be working on a foldable phone too
It doesn't strictly refer to a folding "smartphone" in the patent, so this could be used on a tablet or laptop device. All I'm saying is, don't expect the folding Google Pixel (Fixel?) this Autumn alongside the Pixel 4 series.
In 2013, Sreesanth who was playing for IPL team Rajasthan Royals was accused of spot-fixing because of which the cricketer was banned from playing cricket in any format.
The top court added, "Sreesanth will get the opportunity to be heard by BCCI's disciplinary committee on the quantum of punishment".
Speaking to media after the release to the decision in his favour, Sreesanth said, "I don't know what life has in store for me after all these years".
