Prince Harry and Duchess Meghanannounced through Buckingham Palace that they meant to keep information about Baby Sussex's birth, including where the baby will be born, private.

"Meghan is a new-age woman, so obviously the birth will reflect everything about that, and the new generation her and Harry are bringing up".

Now, as the Duchess of Sussex prepares to give birth to a new royal baby, her sister has announced the the first part of her book - titled Shadow of the Duchess - will be "out by the end of April".

Their relocation may also influence where Meghan plans to give birth.

Harry, 34, and Meghan, 37, have decided they will share the news once "they have an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family". This notably aligns with what Meghan herself replied to a reporter's question with a year ago: she said at the time that they were expecting the baby towards the end of April.

This is a stark contrast to Kate Middleton and Prince William, as the births of all three of their children - Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and Prince Louis, who turns 1 this month - have been met with public fanfare.

The palace will also, however, when the Duchess of Sussex is in labor - just as they've done in the past with Kate. Instead, it is likely that photographs of Meghan and Harry's baby will be released a few days after the birth.

A spokesman for Kensington Palace, the couple's London residence, called the story "totally false".

Meanwhile, the royal baby is expected to take over Prince Andrew's role in the Royal Family.

Parenting coach Sue Atkins believes the couple's work around mental health will help when it comes to raising their baby. In 1984, it all happened again when Harry was born and the tradition was cemented.

"I get that she doesn't want to come on the hospital steps with the newborn baby and that she wants a home birth, but if you're going to have a baby at home, what difference does it make if you just tell people that you've had the baby?"

It is understood they will still pose for a photograph at some stage following the birth, but this will not be a large-scale media moment as we've seen before.
